We are seeking a qualified Sales and Marketing Professional to join our management team. In this role, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the sales and marketing of our services, products, and manufactured goods to our retail, wholesale and OEM customers. This position reports directly to the Company President. Salary will be based on experience and will include commission and bonus opportunity.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for managing sales operations and staff.
Cultivate and nurture healthy business relationships with customers and product suppliers.
Responsible for recruiting, hiring and training new sales staff.
Lead, motivate and manage our 10-12 person inside and outside sales team.
Plan and direct staffing, training and organization of sales and marketing programs.
Assess sales potential of new products and services for our existing customers, potential customers and e-commerce.
Attend various industry functions such as customer shows, conventions and trade shows. Limited travel is required.
College background in management, business or engineering and/or marine industry experience
Candidates should be mechanically inclined and have the ability to learn and understand marine drive systems.
Experience in selling products to the marine industry
Strong command of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
